Starting again, again

Hello...I haven't been here for a few years , but am back to try again ... Minute by minute as the bigger picture is too daunting. It helped me being here last time and I'm hoping it will again.

My tagline says until we change we will stay the same. For me I had to change all facets of my life my friends, my activities, where I went, and when I went. I had to be honest with my loved ones, I had to go to a doctor specializing in addiction, I had to go to intensive outpatient therapy, I had to go to AA daily I had to put nothing in front of my sobriety. I had to admit to my innermost self but I could never ever drink like normal people.

a few years down the road and I am NOT the person I was before and I'm proud to say that.

Welcome this is a wonderful place and there's a lot of good advice. Just do what you need to do in order to get sober because you're very life depends on it

Thank you everyone ...I know you're right Wakko (no half measures) quite scary thinking about all the changes I need to make ... Alcohol has been a sickening crutch for so long...anyway I have almost made day one...which isn't that hard as I've been feeling worse for wear due to over consumption the day before...tomorrow and the coming week will be where it gets tough.
