How are you feeling today?
Do you feel good... because you stayed sober last night?
Are you feeling bad... because you are starting day one again?
Remember, today is a new day!
Keep coming back!

For me, I am feeling great. Friday nights are trigger nights for me, I made it through free of alcohol and I am happy to start my morning off clearheaded and well.
I feel recharged today! Yesterday was filled with up and downs. For today I'm holding into my little boogie board and riding the waves rather then fighting them. And it feels good. Letting go moving inward outward onward and upward!

I'm feeling tired, but ok. It is day 2 for me, but I don't think I'm totally over my hangover from day 1. I noticed a while ago that my hangovers not only were getting worse, but lasting more than a day. I guess that was a combination of getting older and drinking more. Sad.
So, although I am still feeling determined, I am not so excited today about my sobreity. I work tonight, and I am not going to go out after work with people. I am going to come home and watch tv with the fiancee and get a good night's sleep and hope to feel better in the morning.

You will be glad that you made that choice. In my world, doing simple things with people we love helps the healing truly begin. I'm here for you and so are many, many others! We understand these feelings you are having and also know that staying sober feels so much better than giving into the impulse to drink. I have found that when a craving comes I face it with a knowing that it is just a craving and it can't hurt me unless I give into it.

Right this moment I feel good, I am still me just sober.
Am not in love with me (yet?), still did or didn't do the things I should hav e or shouldn't have done, and still have the guilt as a consequence, one huge difference is that I will not allow that guilt to be an excuse to permit myself, through self pity, to start again.
