l Glutamine

has anyone had success with L Glutamine?

I take it in powder form daily. No idea if or how much it's helping. Supposed to help blood sugar regulation and alcohol and sugar cravings. Felt it would be smart to give it a try just in case. I bought a big jar of it from Amazon, NOW Foods brand.

No, but there is some documented success with it.

I'd personally avoid it since it can adversely affect liver functions, induce seizures, and cause disruptions in cognition and mood. Also not good who don't respond well to MSG.

I used it for around for the first 2 or so years and swear by it. Tried it with and without and saw a difference in cravings. In fact I didn't manage any long-term success without it.

No side-effects.

Tried it once for a month and noticed no difference worth mentioning.
Maybe it works for cravings, don't know.
