Hi Good to be here
I have been lurking here for quite a long time. I was trying to convince myself that I did not have a problem. Now I realize that I'm a binge drinker. I can stop for several days, after an all night or multi night bender. After the hang over is over and I'm feeling normal again, i'm back on the bender. Its a real vicious cycle that I want to end.
I'm self employed and am waiting for money from clients. I've run out of "extra money" to buy my booze. So I've been completely out of alcohol for 3 days now and the cravings are terrible. Last night is the night I realized I have a problem and need to do something about it.
Thank you for letting me join. I sitting here drinking Iced Tea and desperately trying to tell my self I don't need to go to the Store and Buy some JD.

Welcome to a great place hail. I think you'll enjoy being part of us. 
Every time liquor got in my system there was no telling what might happen. In the end, I'd intend to have one or two drinks & end up drinking all night. There was no control ever. I'm glad you're looking at what drinking is doing to your life. You'll never regret making this big change.

Hello Hail,
I was more of a binge drinker like you and it took me a while to figure out and accept that I had a problem. Then I found this place and I saw it clearly. We get a lot of wisdom and support here. Hope you stick around!

You sound just like me, I was on that merrygoround for a long time, it does get better when you step off it. This place has tons of support and information to help you. Glad you found your way here.

The first day for me without booze was awful. I felt so weird and unsteady thinking I wasn't going to drink today. It gets better! I'm only 20 days sober but I'm already happier than I've been in years. Stick with it, find some support, go to a meeting. You can do this!
