Into Day 3
I am moving into Day 3 now, so the alcohol is almost completely gone from my system. I do not have any urges to drink now, but I am getting that strange feeling - like excitement wrapped in fog - as I move into the sober zone.
I have a plan. I am committed to sobriety for today. And, I have a meeting lined up for later.

Awesome, Jazzfish!
"Excitement wrapped in fog." Also known as the "pink cloud" to some. I know it from my experience and in talking with hundreds of others. It can sometimes be a booby trap for people--can lead one to think they're better enough now to pick up again. It's a good feeling to start enjoying so long as you keep your vigilance up, which it sounds like you're doing just that, so I'm preaching to choir.
Hope the day goes forward well for you! And to keep hearing more good news on your progress.
