Thanks, GracieLou, I have been to this same meeting five times. The first one was great but only one of the women have returned. The other four times I have been ignored for the most part. Today I had a woman just flat out judge me because I will not accomplish 90 in 90. I did laugh at the irony on the way out since the topic was similarities.
I am sorry that happened to you. Thank goodness I have not had that experience. I have had people make comments that I felt were a little strong but they were not pointed directly at me.
AA is no different then many things. We have to find were we are comfortable. It is like moving to a new town and finding the right grocery store. Some we like and the people are helpful and at others we wander around looking for the bread isle.

I know you are right GracieLou but I have such a hard time walking into new places. Heading to that first meeting was so tough, I guess I am going to have to suck up my social anxiety disorder and try another meeting.
If you can find a beginners meeting that would be a could try. You can also call the local AA office and they may be able to suggest a newcomer meeting and even hook you up with someone to go with to help ease the stress.
