Good evening peeps! Day 7, finally feeling pretty good. No more pain in the liver area, sleeping, sweating decreasing, energy back up...

My main point is regarding detox. I have detoxed the last 5 times at home w/ out seeking medical attention. The last time was so bad. I threw up no less then 20 times (I also have gastritis, booze totally puts that mess in motion), I was so dizzy and light headed, sweating, shacking, no sleep for 48 hours plus, bad pain in the liver area, dizzy, fast heart rate, I'm sure there is more. What a wake up call with a clear mind to see how easily I could have just died. Based on what I have read on this site and others, it can easily kill you. SCARY.

I pray to never be back there again.

I'm going to keep on keeping on...one day at a time!

Yes, detox can be dangerous. That's why we advise seeing a doctor to be safe.

I have relapsed 3 times and tonight I thought about picking up a drink, then reminded myself how horrible the detox process was. Its just like the others say, it does really get worse each time.

True, your experience sounds exactly like mine. I am also on day 7. My detox was horrible and scary. Same symptoms you describe to a "t". Glad we both made it. Do you have a plan for recovery?
