detox day 2
just checkin in!
Well day 2 of detox is comimg to an end. Dr put me on Campral to diminish alcohol cravings & small dose of ativan for the shaky/nervous/uncomfortable crap & so I don't have a seizure. I feel pretty tired. Haven't even though about having a drink today. ..not even once. Wow

Yeah, I trialled Campral (plus other meds) back in around mid-late 2010. It seems soooo long ago!
But I've come to realise that - after so many relapses, relapses, ad nauseum this year, that I may have to discuss at least the Campral on Monday when I see my GP. Just to help me with getting past more than just a few days or weeks, then BAMM - back on drinking.

Detox day 4. End of the night. The weekend went alright. I have to say I haven't craved a drink at all...that campral seems to be doing its job. Am however having trouble getting my 5 yr old in bed and had to give the reins over to my husband as I was getting really irritated and hadn't taken my night meds yet. Just checking in. 3 days sober.

Three days is huge after years of daily drinking.
