Health improvement?.

I have to just write this again... In 9 days of not drinking I am not bloated, redness on my face is mostly gone, skin is so much nicer, not feeling dehydrated, legs not swollen and as red as before, my mind is clear, my appetite is under control, sleeping better although I am dreaming more, pains on both side lower back that was throbbing is completely gone...

The only thing that is negative right now is having no social life....

You get the social life back in time too.

I feel much healthier too. I'm 33 days now without a drink. I can't believe how much better I feel in the mornings. I'm sleeping much better too. I'm on a Vit B complex and drinking smoothies instead he alcohol.

Congrats on 9 days

It's amazing what changes you see after a few days. At 7.5 months now my bloated face and tummy have gone,my eyes are clearer, lost weight, facial redness reduced, skin improved.

Keep on with it

Silvy, congratulations on those nine days! Isn't it wonderful to see the changes in your well being physically and mentally? And I promise you those improvements are going to continue and you will be stunned by how great you feel.

I sleep horribly when drinking, but my sleep is fabulous sober! In fact, I plan on using this as a reason to decline a drink if offered - "No thanks, it impacts my sleep too much and I enjoy my sleep."

I can't count how many times i either went in to work hungover badly, or late or called out sick with some lame excuse. That isn't going to happen anymore

Sleep will keep you young hahaha

And actually, there is a certain irony to it, isn't there? Some of us may give alcohol a value it doesn't deserve by thinking it a way to be more outgoing, self confident, more attractive over all. When in reality often quite the opposite is true. Especially if in the moment we become 'sloppy' drunks. Ultimately, just a few short days of abstinence yield more reliable results in terms of being more attractive. As you said, Silvy (and something I'm experiencing just a short week or so in)....among other things, I'm hydrated, skin is better, eating better, sleeping better (eyes brighter and not as bagged), mind is clear, and WOOT, a week straight waking up without the routine regret and guilt!! Now if these aren't all reasons to feel more beautiful, and confident, I don't really know what would qualify.

Well done on day 9, Silvy. The improvements we see in ourselves almost immediately after quitting drinking are really great. I've also been dreaming more since I quit 19 days ago. It's probably because I'm actually sleeping rather than just passed out unconscious.

my nerve pain is gone two weeks after quitting. Amazing how much drink can screw up the body.
