Now that day 3 is almost over and I think I might be able to drive and leave the house I took the next step, I called our local AA Chapter and got a list of meetings. Going to try and make one tomorrow.

I hope so, I am a little apprehensive. My dad was very active in AA and I hated going to open meetings but this is a different situation so I am keeping an open mind.

Thanks, I'm trying. If I don't succeed at this I am going to lose everything I have worked my whole life for and I do not think I would be very good at being homeless

Having an open mind will serve you well. If you don't like this meeting keep trying other meetings until you find some that you are comfortable with.
