Worried

I am on day one and live alone. I am worried about seizures. Does anyone know how long I need to be concerned?

Do you have a history of alcohol-related seizures?

Welcome to SR! :wavey: Glad you are here. This is a great place to find support.

No, and thank you. Having a very hard time typing.

Hi Trooper - welcome :)

the thing is none of us are Drs, we can't give medical advice here.

Even if we could, seizures are very individual things shaped by many individual factors.

If you're concerned ay all, it really is best to see someone, even if it's the ER.

Thanks but I don't have health insurance.

I understand that, but wouldn't setting your mind to rest about seizures be worth it?

There are a lot of free or low cost clinics around - if there's one in your local area you might get some medical advice there?

If you are worried about it then you should see a doc. I believe we get premonitions about our safety. Call it a guardian angel. I did not worry about seizures whe I detoxed at home.

I understand that this is a concern. The ER might cost a bit but what's the alternative? If you die money won't be a problem.

If money can solve something it's not a problem, it's an expense.

Take care of yourself!
