A thread to keep me accountable

i hope this is okay. ive been thinking and i see the next 2 weeks as being really trying. and since this site has been so helpful to me and i come here daily i thought i might start a thread to keep me "afloat" for this time period. it might even be less than 2 weeks! but, i noticed that if i dont have some sort of "push" i will work on my term paper and come on here and be doing that for hours... when i should be doing a little cleaning here and there, pampering myself, returning overdue library books, cleaning out my purse, playing drums, brushing teeth... i am just tired of not living and then blaming it on school and the puter. so! im trying my darndest to get rocking. im coming up on 18 months in a few and i want to keep making progress... and this is a next step!

thanks for listening. if its okay i will just "check in with myself" daily.

Goals...

Shine of that black chrome covered bike *LOL*

A daily goal or a moment by moment goal if need be. The small goals reached allow us to reach the bigger goals. be the bike or what ever else you are looking foward to.

mack,

ive got a pile of clean laundry waiting for me too.. and two piles of dirty laundry that keep sending the SOS signal :scared1: . im glad im not the only one!

ted,

i keep getting caught up in stuff mostly because i dont want to face the mess ive got, haha. its time to get off my butt and stop procrastinating! yeah, its much better than :friday: .

best,

yes! thank you for the reminder of goals! the shiny shiny chrome... i think i slip into a "poor me" thing and i do whatever i want and feel sorry for myself and wonder why life feels terrible :scared1: . when really, i should just realize im doing the best i can ... and when i get going on the stuff i should be doing and get reminders of my goals things are so much brighter!

okay guys... i had a cup of decaf tea this evening and plan on getting to bed in 15 minutes. i also cleaned up some of my messes ... the ones that were easy to pick up! LOL... its a start.

hugs and many thanks,

dotster

dot, when I was your age, (not that freekin' long ago really), I would sit and stare at piles of dirty laundry until some of the socks would walk away by themselves, know what I mean...
You continue to amaze me with your power of self description, and your independance and will for a better life that simply will not be tamed . So yeah, keep checkin' on your laundry here.
Just know I'll be not too far away, should you run out of fabric softener

Dotster...

Reachout to someone Face-To-face and get a little help writing a 30 day plan.

Then, reach out to us (and others f2f) to help you complete it!
Simple? Yes.

Effective? Definitely.

okay, time to kick myself in the butt. i have thought about a mentor and i know two people i think might work. one is younger so i think ill go with her. wow you are such an inspiration mack!

today so far i have: ate a healthy breakfast...

i plan on: deep cleaning my room, getting laundry done, writing a letter, and cooking chicken enchiladas. i plan on spending an hour or two straight working on my paper this evening.

okay... i can do this! i switched taking meds to the evening so that during the day i dont feel so physically bad or have to stress over them.

so... 32 minutes until i begin... :Flush:

Hey Dot- you better watch that laundry or it will all end up in sock heaven. You plan on doing more in 1 day than I do all week! I think I will just watch. Good Luck-steph

Dot! Too cool you keep reaching out! Let us know how it works out with your mentor, and your 30 day plan.

You are an inspiration to me, and SO many others!

the account is decent mack ... got an A minus on my math final, my room is not a toxic waste zone, now im taking time off work to finish my term paper. laundry is done and actually folded in my drawers ... dont have much of an appetite so i still have some of the chicken enchiladas i cooked. lots of alka selzer and prayer ... i have chosen my mentor just havent told her yet, heeeheehee ... my overdue fee at the library was vanquished by the librarian because she loves me ... yeah right, but shes really nice ... so gotta keep putting ideas together for my paper.

rock on.
