Are we barred from requesting/posting links to outside blogs etc?

I assume so it's just I've finally found a couple personal recovery blogs that are inspirations to me, want to share and want to find out about more.

We discourage links to blogs because we can't control the content and often in the past some folks have been promoting a personal site.

We discourage links to other recovery forums for the same reason.

We don't allow the paid advertisers to post links to their sites. It would be a conflict of interest to allow our regular members to post their sites.

We've had numerous problems with members posting links to use us as a search engine to promote their site.

we also have a rule against linking to commercial sites in the interests of keeping these forums a commercial free zone.
