New at this not new to alcoholism
 

Stopped drinking to fully enjoy life and grow as a person with some talent in painting. Tired of battling this disease. Need help of sober friends and groups. Tried to quit many times. Got to do it now.

Yeah for you! I made the decision 1 May to stop hiding behind my wine glass. I'm a little bit scared that I will find out that I'm not as talented as I think I am. But I will never know until I try my best, and that just wasn't going to happen without sobriety.

There's no better time than now! Welcome! If you're looking for a group of sober folks, this one's a great bunch. Not saying I would've drank since making the decision (46 days ago), but they've helped me in numerous ways.
