We're not allowed to give medical advice here. Your best bet would be to consult your doctor about this. Detox can be dangerous, best to be safe.

I never had mine checked but had terrible heart palpitations and anxiety during withdrawals.

I was at 183 over 108. I thought I was going to explode. Yea and thats 183/108 on Blood Pressure Medication that I had been taking to lower it because it was naturally high when I was boozing.
I told my Dr what I was doing and he gave me Clonidin for blood pressure. So I was on 2 BP meds to lower it so my heart wouldent explode.
I stopped drinking 3 months ago and I am on Zero BP pills now standing at 115/80.

The BP, anxiety and heart palps is one of my major motivators right now to NEVER DRINK AGAIN.

The first time I quit I ended up in the ER and I don't remember how high it was but it was not good. The second time I still didn't learn but somehow made it through self-detox ( stupdily ) and i'm sure it was right up there. I also remember towards the end when i was still drinking that my heart rate was very high until I had a drink.

Definitely see a doctor if you have ANY concerns.

My family has a history of high BP anyway, and both my dad and brother have taken High BP medicine most of their lives. Since i've quit drinking for several months now though, my BP is a steady 110/70 with no meds whatsoever. Just another benefit of not drinking - be safe!

I know my BP was up to 190/110, 2 or 3 times at least. Not while officially detoxing, but in my drinking days when I was having a day or two off because of being hung over. I was in the ER two different times because of other stuff... and the dr. sent me home with BP that high. He told me to take an extra metoprolol. I was already on 25 MG twice a day of it. He told me to bump it up to 50 twice a day

What might be a OK BP for someone may prove dangerous for someone else, so comparing numbers isn't really useful aimee.

I can't recommend enough seeing a Dr if you're concerned. I had a series of ministrokes in my detox.

Last time I drank quite excessively my B.P NEXT MORNING WAS round 160/90.
I monitor at home and it is usually about 115/70.

Check out with your medico, but I don't think w/drawal would be a big problem in that area.

Nil alcohol 67 days
