Avatars... Meanings?
Well, I 'm embarrassed to say that my avatar is a hedgehog. I haven't gotten around to finding a groundhog image that will fit in the size constraints to replace it. I found some images from the movie that I am thinking about. Will try to get to it soon.
This wild sloth and I shared a front porch for a few months. I had the porch during the day, the sloth took over the night watch. I can get really worked up and anxious, so this avatar is a good reminder to me - the sloth was chilled out, yet he got where he needed to go each day.
My avatar shows the sun breaking thru some huge pine trees. This represents me breaking thru the active addiction that has grown the size of those pine trees . I will rise to the height and brilliance of our Sun , my higher power and break thru
Mine was something that meant something to me, but the other day a warning was posted here about people being able to google search my avatar and end up at my FB page...so I found something generic

I don't have one yet, still too sad to figure out how to do it. When I do it will be of my fish, a pair that are free swimming happily in a large aquarium, they don't ask me for drugs and they don't lie or steal from me. They greet me each morning, happy, yet trapped in their own world.
Mine is my beautiful Molly, who loves me whatever I do and is my staunchest supporter (As long as I remember her doggie treats from time to time)
Dee, I always had a thing for Animal, but you could swing me.....

I love dogs, especially Pugs, so that's part of it. The motto is simply my new attitude in sobriety: "Haters are gonna hate" and that's just fine. Doesn't have to affect me one bit anymore.
I only have dominion over ME.
(And these days I find that's more than enough )

Ah yes, the good ole flannel shirt days. Since grunge rock was/is my favorite genre of music (along with blues/blues rock) that would explain my screen name. My avatar simply explains what happens to me when I drink. The picture in my sig is of my dearly departed puppy Abigail who passed away about a month ago at the age of 16.
I chose this one because I saw I was about to lose control of my life. After I saw that I figured out it didn't have to be that way. I could chose to change. Username because that's all I could think of when it hit me was "run". Silentrun because I figured I would be running forever. I don't feel like I am being chased anymore.
