New girl here....

Well, I finally got fed up with the lifestyle of living for drugs (pills are my choice - always taken orally, never got the "nerve" to inject or snort. Though the fact that taking four or five Norco 10s didn't phase me seemed to be a problem and one that could only get worse. So, here I am...Ready to make the change to who I used to be before these demons overtook my life. I'd love to make friends on here who are also new in recovery as well as people who have been where I am and can give me insight and advice. I am terrified, hopeful, shamed, optimistic... I'm ready..

You are starting on a wise and very worthy course of action.

Alcohol and drugs get progressively worse, one way or another.

I was addicted to benzos for 35 years, alcohol longer.

Push the hope and optimism letting the shame and terror motivate you
away from those bad old days.

I hope you move far quicker than I did and reap the benefits.:wink3:

That's really a good start in your life.. Cheer up and drop the drugs in your life and try to make over your mind to all set new life with family and friends.. These drugs cause a lot of trouble and damage in our life.. I remember that one of my friends had this has a serious problem of having intake of cocaine drugs but his boy friend came to know about it and helped her in her sobriety.. Try to make great friends so that you can have a speedy recover from the drugs to a healthy life style.
