I don't know what all that means. But there is one FACT I know and you can quote me, If you don't pick up the first drink you don't have to get sober AGAIN. Something profound I heard at an AA meeting, among others. BE WELL

I think that it may also be the only drug that only certain people become addicted to. I don't think there are any casual meth or heroin users.

I think the cost of the damage alcohol does must be staggering, especially if you count drunk driving accidents, A&E admissions, policing costs, health costs, and then all the low productivity of workers, sick days from hangovers... And yet part of the explanation people give for it's acceptability in society is that it's relatively harmless. Go figure. I guess the only reason it isn't more socially unacceptable is that it is so common.

People always say that if alcohol were discovered today, it would be classed as an illegal drug. Or is that tobacco?
