I'm sure there are many bad days to come, but yesterday (day one) it was like everything slowed own and I could take things in which I would normally miss; simple everyday things I was experiencing were much more vivid. I watched my kids playing, just watched and enjoyed. I would never have done that before because it would take up valuable drinking time. But the best bit.. I spared some time to get jiggy with the hubby (that would normally take up drinking time too) and it was a-freaking-mazing!!!! Forgot was sex was like!

There's a lot of tough times in the early days, but there's also a lot of what you describe. The first month I was just in awe of the way that time passed differently sober. It's pretty amazing.
