Finally here

Finally admited to myself yesterday that im an alc and cant control it. Feel so horrified, ashamed, lost, alone. Cant eat or sleep w/ the withdrawal even tho have been sipping a bit. Might try a meeting later today for the first time. Not even rock bottom worked for me and i need to stop forever starting today before i riun the rest of my life and lose everything. Cant sleep or stop crying.

Welcome Allison! There is a lot of support here. We understand.

I go to AA. If you are not sure you can go alone then call AA and they will get you in contact with your local group and they can have someone pick you up or meet you there.

Welcome to SR! Glad you are here. You are not alone. This is a great place to get support.

Is this a trip that you must go on? Have you already made financial contributions toward this trip whereas you can't get refunded or postpone to a later date?

Hi. Try an AA meeting? To me that sounds like I think I'll go down this street on the way to wherever. This is probably the most important thing in your life to do. AA has helped millions and is world wide. Being with 30+ years in it I suggest at least 90 meetings in 90 days, then if it's not for you your misery is refunded. Reading the posts here and meetings are a great starting point then the work can start on staying sober. BE WELL
