3 week long relapse

Well I'm back
Relapsed with alcohol and pills.day 1 again.

It doesn't matter how many times you fall as long as you keep getting up you can so do this. We are all here cheering for your success.

I've seen my doctor and he basically said I have a mood disorder and a addiction problem.He put me on Effexor and said to use my Antabuse.So I begin that.Thanks for the warm welcone back.

I'm glad you are back too...the alcohol and pills combination is dicey and dangerous. Great that you saw your doc! Do keep taking care of yourself!

Thanks again all of you for the kind words of support

....Strange thing about my little trip back to the dark side was For the first time ever I was missing Sobriety.I really hit it hard this time too I had a 4 day weekend off from work so that fueled it even more.
So I just started this medicine from doctor.Ive been on these types if meds before but never without drinking.So I am excited to see its true effects it will have on me.

I know exactly what you mean, Stubbs, about missing sobriety. I find each time I relapse (and hopefully there will be no more of those

I find myself, even while drinking, wishing I was sober, and missing that feeling of being clear headed, focused and "together".

Welcome back!!! Maybe its time to try another approach to getting sober, since the last attempt didnt work out so well. Its always good to revamp our plans and strategies.
