Hello. I recently decided to stop drinking. It became overwhelming to me how much I had to apologize for my actions and words when I was drinking. It scares me that I am going to ruin all my close relationships if I don't make a change.

I know what you mean. I've lost close friends because of my drinking, and stopped seeing others so my drinking wouldn't hurt them. All that so I could keep up a cheap beer buzz, where's the sense in that?

Alcohol turned me into someone I didn't even recognize. I was tired of apologizing too - always embarrassed, covering up, explaining - it was exhausting. It's no way to live. I'm happy you've made this life changing decision - you can do it!
