Two weeks today!

This is the first time to cross this marker in a long while.

I've noted a lot of changes already that have kept me focused; among them is being able to recall my dreams. I have always felt dreams are important; some of the best therapy I've had has been with Jungian analysts, and keeping a dream journal. So I plan to start writing them down when I wake up, as they make for interesting reflection. To be out of touch with one's dreams seem to me to be out of touch with something vital, even if enigmatic, so I'm happy it's coming back into focus. Sometimes, I even have brief states of 'lucid dreaming' where I'm aware I'm dreaming, and can influence what is happening, though not all that often...this would be an amazing thing, if one could develop in better, though I'm not sure that's possible.

Congrats on the 14 days, HuskyPup! I've had a similar experience with vivid (memorable) dreams. A lot of nightmares, but a couple were amazing and inspiring.

Kudos on the 2 weeks!

Yes, and something deeper and more common to us all in my belief.

It might interest you to know that Jung developed his ideas of synchronicity along with Wolfgang Pauli, who was an alcoholic. Some interesting dream analysis involved there.

Glad you are having a chance to experience this side of life with more meaning. I hope you find continued rewards on your path.

Thanks, everyone. Today makes 15 days, I can't wait till the one month mark. I recall last time, I felt a good deal more settled by that point, though I've been doing pretty good so far.

The water was out last night, so it was kind of a pain...got home from work at 10 PM, and we couldn't cook anything, as I had the pans soaking, so we ended up walking down and finding a place to get a sandwich, then watching some anime. So it was another calm night, even if I do feel grimy, from not having a shower. But I'm used to these things, and tend to think people take way too many showers; one thing about living on limited means is that you realize how many things you can live without, and still go on living. It toughens you up, it does.

Someday, I'd like to take a wilderness survival course.

Congrats on 0.5 months! And, the water being out is a big problem, though maybe people do take too many showers on average. All I know is I cannot go without basic utilities or internet. I would have a panic attack if the AC or internet went out for a prolonged period of time. As you can guess, I have no interest in camping or survival courses, haha.

My mate called, and it's back on! They said it would be for two hours while they did some work, but it turned into 24 hours. I'm pretty good at going without things, at least for a while! So, no wilderness survival courses??? Aw, come on! Think how fun it would be, a week of exploring the forests, foraging for food, cooking fish on stakes over a flame, gathering berries, sleeping in a make-shift fort made of sticks and leaves, just like a raccoon, almost, and with no net access or phone =p

(also, I'm composing a PM to send, only I keep adding/changing things! But thanks for all the support, it really has helped, and means a lot))

Congrats on 2 weeks! I have noticed that I remember my dreams and they are LOONGG. I never remembered dreams when I passed out drunk. But....I also have nightmares, but whatever. Way to go!!

Way to go on your two weeks, and on your ability to take in your dreams. They are important, and often we are not ready to pay attention to dreams.

You are a STAR Husky! You've been sounding so much better in yourself as each day goes on.

I for one always look forward to your posts, full of philosophical and other musings.

I'm all in!
I feel I'm a bit prepared having a survival training of sorts. Cody Lundin's TV appearances have provided valuable lessons in outdoor survival. I know how to pasteurizer water by using a snake skin as a container.

A BIG also for all the discovery your making. 15 days plus the certainly of more days that you separate yourself from the old. So a hearty well done there Husky

I hate unexpected delays and developments. I would not be happy at all if I had to keep waiting to have a service restored.

And, yes, but I'm a civilized raccoon. We don't eat trash or bugs, or camp out in trees. We stuff our muzzles with prepared cheesecake and lay in bed while looking at furry porn. *chuckles* In all honesty, I AM too lazy, though.
