Hi My name is Kieran and i am an Addict. I am here as i am also a buddhist and as such i am in struggle with the 12 steps and hope to find some support an wisdom on this here Thanx...
Hey Kieran, welcome!
I can't call myself a full Buddhist but I lean that way. There is a lot of information out there on Buddhism and recovery. This directory has meetings: Buddhist Recovery Network : Meetings
And I think there are some books out there about Buddhism and the 12 steps although I haven't done the reading yet myself.
There's also AVRT/Rational Recovery which I find works well with mindfulness and meditation.
Lots of information on all of these approaches on this forum. Welcome!

There are a TON of books out there about Buddhism and the 12 steps; just google "Buddhism 12 steps books" and you'll get a load of them. There are many web sites, too. Here is just one for starters: The Easier Softer Way -
I don't think it's the actual steps you are in conflict with, so much as the Christian-type spin they often get, right? My home group is a Buddhist 12-step group and they have rephrased the steps, the preamble, etc., to reflect that, but otherwise they do follow the 12 steps.
Welcome, and best wishes in your recovery!
