Wanna go buy another bottle but know its not the right thing to fo
I've been reading loads on this site & it has really been helping me. I was told to not stop drinking immediately by my community nurse wine and cocainne and escasty are my drugs of choice.. ive started buying low percentage cider & only having a couple, I don't think the coke or pills r a problem cause I can control them as long as I don't drink before intake them..
Im still getting the real bad sweats after reducing my alcohol intake and not having any drugs at night and today I felt much better apart from my severe stomache pains.
Anyway as I was feeling so good today I bought a bottle of wine. Thought I was gonna have couple glasses and then put the rest back in the fridge until tomorrow!!
Truth I've got a little bit left in bottle and already thinking where am I going to get my next one from, and probably will buy another 2 so I don't have to go out in the middle of the night.. Feeling so stupid & angry with myself :-( ...

Hello
Can you see your GP? Advice to not stop/taper would never work for me as once I've had one glass I want another and also end up finishing the bottle and wanting more. Is your CPN a specialist in alcohol/drug abuse? Areyou lookingto quitdrugs too or just alcohol?

You can see where those "couple glasses" got you. Now you're planning to buy more. Tapering off is reducing your intake, sounds like you're back to drinking too much. I hope you can get off the booze soon before something bad happens to you.

Unfortunately, tapering off does not work in most cases. The best way is to go cold turkey under the care of a doctor (Who can prescribe you something for sleep and the withdrawal symptoms). However, you must be completely honest about the other drugs you are using. You will be advised to get off those as well. Otherwise it will continue as a "vicious cycle"...
Good Luck!
