Day 27 check in

Still fighting the goid fight with no cigarettes or alcohol. Losing some weight and heading to the health center.

Good work Acheleus. Make sure to be totally upfront with the doc/nurse on all the issues surrounding your drinking/smoking/quitting.

So I have another meeting next week and the counselor said some good things for my recovery. I got some good things about adult children of alcoholics, negative self talk, and good sleeping habits. I'm feeling better today and I have a big test to study for tonight, so I am going to get through my class and focus on my recovery. The counselor said changes in behavior are more effective for anxiety and depression than medication, so I am glad I don't have to take any pills.

Great news, aren't you glad you went?

Yes I feel better knowing I can change my life if I just take small steps every day. I have to work on my negative thinking and impending doom anxiety. Thank you guys for helping me and not being mean to me when I am negative and down. I hope you all are having a good day.
