Day 2

Thanks to all for response yesterday,
Feeling ok today today, bit of a headache, lots of water down my neck!
Really think I will need to get some sort of action plan in place to keep me from slipping down the slope again!!
Will try the GP.

I think my issues are.
not having any self confidence.
Boredom.
Feeling trapped in the house.

I was born with a facial palsy, which resulted in a lot of bullying which shattered my self confidence, which in turn led me to drink as a crutch, which has obviously not helped my confidence and self esteem problems.
I adore my boys and want to get better for them as we'll as me.

There is clearly a lot of wise folk using this forum and your support is very much appreciated.

the boredom and the trapped in the house i totally understand.

my world is tiny due to my mental health problems and the thought of never again alleviating that with booze is terrifying.

one day at a time.

Me too chick, would love to be a self assured confident mum, and get involved more with local stuff the school etc.
I have realised now that it is drinking that is stopping me, I wouldn't turn up to anything with a drink in me, so I don't go and get involved or if I do I'm quite possibly hungover and feeling bad! Round and round you go!
Kids grow up so quickly that I don't want to miss any more of it.
Lets keep it up eh?

I understand the self confidence issue...In past I needed to have at least two glasses of wine in me until I left the house for lunch or dinner or anything...

You will get stronger every day and feel more confident with yourself. Allow yourself to "grow up" and you'll be amazed how different and how much smarter you'll feel in a short period of time.

Keep it going!!!
