Welcome Darryl. I guess it depends on the circumstances. Sometimes you never get "over it" but can get "through it." Pain over a break up is different than the pain of losing someone to death. I don't know which you're experiencing so it's hard to know what to say.

I notice you're from Birmingham. I've visited there a few times and really enjoyed it. Maybe you can go out and listen to some of the great live music around there to distract yourself from feeling bad.

Good for you for 3 weeks sober, Darryl! I know it's hard coming to terms with the messes we've made while drinking, but be sure that you can get through this.

Hi Darryl. Most of us understand just how you feel - I sure did hurt and confuse many people before I stopped. Being here with us should help - we all understand.

Congratulations on your 3 weeks - great job.
