Who knew 24 hours would be so long?

I am here, still... don't think I've gone more than half an hour without checking into SR today. I am amazed at the support offered up here. I am struggling with my AV, but find sanity by reading these posts. So VERY glad to have found this place.

One thing I wanted to share about myself was that I have survived many things in life so far- an abusive first marriage and cancer being the big two- and I desperately want to survive this, too.

Glad to have you here strawberry. I too remember being here nearly non-stop day 1 and the better part of week one for the matter. Be strong, sounds like you know how to do that already with some of your life experiences. Stay close and let us know how we can help.

I was here a whole lot in early sobriety too. I had to occupy my time with something useful that wasn't drinking and SR fit the bill. You'll find lots of support here.

Welcome strawberryblond. Have you got a few things planned for the weekend? I found planning some good stuff helped in those early days as well as plain old fashioned good food and early nights -- and SR!

Just knowing I'm not alone helps tremendously. And Marcher- oh yes, big plans this weekend. Remodeling our kitchen starts in the morning, and I am actually looking forward to the physical work. Plus the end result gives me something to look forward to!

Welcome and keep coming each day for support. It has helped me more than anything. Each person SR posts a story that will somehow help you. I feel blessed that I can rant and enjoyce at the same time.

I am so sad to hear of your struggles, but guess what??? You are here posting tonight and making new friends.

Best wishes and keep posting!!!!

Hi Strawberry - I'm new here too and SR is the first and the last thing I do each day. Hubby said last night "I'm just going for a shower whilst you talk to your sober friends" and that summed it up for me.

Hope the re-modelling of your kitchen goes well!! Keep strong.

Hang tough, SB! Yes SR is a lifeline and such an easy way to start putting our sobriety first.
