Welcome!
Plenty of support and love here. Take what you need.
I'm Dan, an addict in recovery. You can build yourself a support network the moment you really want to. You got two clean days? Awesome! Sit tight, others will want to come and say hi! You've found a good place. You don't have to be lonely anymore. Reaching out is the first step.

Hi Lonely,
Welcome to SR. This is a great place to hang around and you'll find lots of support and understanding here. We're a group of friends who try to be there for each other. Congratulations on your decision and keep posting.
Love, Anna

Hey Lonely! Welcome to SoberRecovery.
It's a cliche', but true: "We don't ever have to feel this way again if we don't want to."
I don't want to feel the lonliness, hopelessness, and despair anymore.
Post and read often, find some face-to-face support, and before you know it you'll have an entirely different life.

Just got back from my first NA meeting, people were nice while some were telling me to watch out for the "fake people." The whole meeting itself kinda scared me and just confused me sooo much. I will go back again, but I just feel like there is so much on my mind...

It can take a while to feel comfortable at first. The thing is to "keep coming back"! Try different meetings if you can. The main thing is to try and be with people that know exactly where you are, and where you want to go. Bring the body to those chairs. Soon, the mind and the heart will follow. And you were told a good thing tonight I think. Not everyone in those rooms is necessarily a person that you might want to get to know. Trust your instincts and your feelings.
Slow, careful steps at first are the key to a succesful beginning in recovery.
You deserve it!

You have plenty of friends here!
I'm a crack addict (clean from crack since 2002, but sobriety date oct 10, 2003 cuz of benzos)
you'll find that the nice ppl at NA vastly outweigh the, uh, not so nice ones. Take what you want ant leave the rest!
Just keep coming back!
