Day 3

I've been at work 1 1/2 hours and it's already unusually stressful and crazy! I looked at my bank account for the first time since my major binge over the weekend. It's going to be tight until payday which is over a week away. Oh and the AC in my car is acting up. It's going to be 97 here today. Can you say sauna?

Only good thing I can say right now is I'm alcohol free! I'm not gonna lie....I thought during the night when I couldn't sleep how much I wanted to drink tonight. I quickly pushed those thoughts out of my mind and remembered what someone said on here to me. It really helped me to start thinking about not drinking and the things I can do tonight since I won't be drinking. I just keep pushing those drinking thoughts away.

So bring on day 3!!! I'm going to do my best to continue staying strong.

I'm struggling with the desire tonight. I've decided to cut my original plans short and go to an AA meeting. Irony would have it the AA meeting is at the same facility as my outing. lol

I'm actually feeling much better. I ended up staying at the original place the whole time because we were having a lot of fun and I was meeting new people. It was a non-drinking event so no temptation. Now I'm at Waffle House about to grab some dinner before going home with NO alcohol!!! I'm goin to make it to say 4!

Sinderos, Day 3? You are FANTASTIC. Congratulations. I'm a couple of states west of you, and my phone said 92, feels like 99! You could sweat in a cold shower around here. Rootin for ya.
