Hi everyone.......I couldn't wait to tell you that I did it!! I went to the meeting. I got through the whole weekend withoput taking a drink and promised myself that if I could do that I can get my but out of the car and into the meeting (I suffer from social anxiety and depression, so going into strange rooms full of strange people is VERY difficult for me). I just walked in and sat down. Before I knew it there were 3 other woman who got up and came and sat with me!! I picked up a chip, I forget what they called it, it was for those who want to not drink today. An old timer bought me an AA text!!! All the woman gave me thier phone numbers and a lot of those who shared were telling me not to be afraid because I was helping them by letting them help me.
I am so glad I went and although I can't go tomorrow I will be there on Wednesday.
Thank you all for helping me find the courage to get in there.
