Back from the doctor. Her right foot is broken in 5 places, but surgery won't be required. Left foot is broken in one place.

Pop Quiz!
How many bones are in the foot? (hint...a great many, ouchy 5 broken ones is a lot)!

hope everyone is well and strong...I am stressed to the max with the pending sale of my parents house and various other extreme idiot things to deal with...I will cry before I drink.

The human foot has seven tarsal bones: talus, calcaneus, cuniforms I, II, & III, cuboid, and navicular.
Then there are five metatarsals, I-IV. The great toe has two phalanges, and the other four toes have three each.

That's 7+5+2+12=26 total bones in the foot.

There is also a tiny sesamoid bone in the great toe, but this is usually not counted.

I am a whiz at the "speed anatomy" game on my phone too! :rotfxko

Sorry to hear about your wife's foot issues, non. I guess you get to do personal valet service around the house for a while?

I have made it sober through my new Day One.

Thanks trikyriky...(yeah) right there with you on my new Day 2...SOBER.

I am currently working on some really bad past tax stuff, and the stress keeps my addicted-self screaming for a drink, and then conniving with the subtle B/S for a drink, and it is my addiction-corrupted way of mind to go right along with the impulse to block it all out.

However, I do know that drinking will only make it worse, and I will go that much longer without really solving my bad tax issues. I will just have to bludgeon thru the thorn-bushes until I get this done and past me.....and being Sober is the ONLY way I will be able to get there.

Grandkids? Maybe in a few years. My daughter is puppy-sitting for a friend, though. A ball of energy with over-sized feet running all over the place.

Gonna start building a ramp for Mrs. Non this afternoon. Not sure if I'll get it finished today. Then I'm back to trimming the pool room for the weekend. Be nice to have that done.

Got an estimate from a tree-trimming service to prune my yard - $5K! I was like, DAYUMMM! No thanks, I'll do it myself for that much. Yikes!

Hmm. Can you burn the firewood? Lots of money for this.

Life here OK; considering leaving bf but "no major changes in the first year" and all that.

I have a friend in jail and I am very glad I was able to visit her on the "free" side of the glass....

Thanks Remas1000 for answering; it means a great deal to me (as I prowl at night).

I am without a doubt, on the edge. Hate the bf, but "no major changes within the first year". Hanging in with that.

The word starting with "S" and ending with "y" Dee. Just not happy with life. It seems that every day is the same old same old. No family to love... I know... "poor me..."

Hey Pamel, sorry things are s****y right now. Hugs to you!

The "no major changes in the first year" rule, where does that come from? It sounds like a good idea, not questioning it, just haven't heard it before.

I think sometimes changes can't be avoided.

I always tell people to try and hang fire for 3 months or so because by 3 months you should be pretty much over the emotional ups and downs, but...

if it's a change that would make your life better, or help your recovery - I think it needs to be considered.

I hope today is a better day anyway
