Day Number TWO without drink and went to a great speaker meeting last night. Also ate a healthy meal without needing to drink first. (my disease had progressed to the point that I could not eat with a few drinks in me) Lots of cold sweats/hot flashes and crazy dreams last night but I am feeling so positive and so motivated. Have a meeting picked out for 8:30 tonight and have activities lined up for after work so I wont go home and be too tired or too comfortable to not go to the meeting. Thanks for all the support and for making me feel welcome everyone!!

Thank you to everyone for making me feel welcome. It is so awesome to be sober again even though this is only day number 3 I feel sanity returning to me. I ate healthy again yesterday and had an interesting experience. I had a client sit me down and say that we needed to talk. He told me that there had been some talk about me lately and my business, and although he has personally never had any problems with me, he needed my assurance that everything was okay and he didn't have to worry. If we had that conversation last week, there is no doubt I would have had alcohol on my breath, and glassed over eyes, simply due to that fact that the conversation was later in the day. I am so grateful that I could have that conversation sober. Last week I would have been defensive and argumentative, and probably would have lost the account, this week I was humble and was so impressed at the respectful way the client handled "his side of the street". I am happy to report I was able to keep the account.
Once again gratitude is beginning to find its way into my heart. I am really enjoying this forum so again thank you all for making me feel welcome and for sharing.

Hello friends.
Day four of sobriety and feeling great. Went to a great meeting last night, and have been listening to recordings on the xaspeakers.com website. (Which I discovered through this forum!!!!!) Slept pretty well last night, still having the cold sweats/hot flashes and the crazy dreams however I slept through most of the night last night! I also continued to eat healthy and actually took my vitamins for the first time in months. I am feeling positive and motivated and am dedicated to restoring sanity in my life and fixing all of the devastation that my illness has caused. I am aware that I have to do this one step at a time, and one day at a time. Thanks again for the support, understanding, and love.
