6 months sober today !!!!
Wel it's been half a year without a drop of alcohol, and I must say that it is an amazing feeling !!! There have been so many tough times during the six months, but way more good times. I have not had to deal with one hangover, or waking up wondering what I did or said the night before. I'm a lot more productive, constantly feeling good. I now see drunk people and shake my head and think, gee that was me not too long ago !?? I'm accomplishing a lot more as I went back to school and finished to get my aa degree and now going to start on my bachelors. I'm working, taking care of the consequences of my duis. Got my license back, and going to the gym quite a bit. Now I'm going to start playing basketball once again and going to beach again since school is out for the summer. Point is, all the people just starting and thinking its difficult, it is, but it gets easier and easier and you'll be much happier. There are so many finer things in life than getting drunk. Just need to open your mind to trying new fun things and doing things you used to enjoy before you became an alcoholic. Good luck to all of you, I want to see us all succeed and live happy lives.
