Got drunk after a long time and embarrassed myself badly
I'm beginning to feel normal now at day 2 after a good rest and a few nice meals. So I guess you're right, here it begins.
I like Dee' s post here about being comfortable just "being you". Freddy i share your feelings of being alone out there and when i start to get into validation issues it can really spiral. I think a lot of alcoholics suffer from depression, and often when left alone with our own thoughts we become despondent. A total rewiring of the way we think about ourselves is key to getting through painful episodes. Have you ever tried therapy or other meams of support?

If you apologize I'm sure the gentleman will not only forgive you, but gain new respect for you.
It takes a real man or woman to admit when they're wrong.
As far as the signing loudly thing goes, I've been there. On the spectrum of bad things people do when they are drunk, that barely registers. Try not to sweat the small stuff, and go out and win today, tomorrow, and the day after that, etc.
One loss in a few hundred days is what makes us human, and what makes us do better next time.

Nah ur not f'ed for life. It'll be ok. Just start over. Don't worry about what you did, just start over. Stay away from those parties. Did you learn something?
Then don't repeat. We are only setting ourselves up for failure going to situations that tempt us in early recovery. Just breathe and relax. U made a mistake.
they sure do wish
sure is nice
how God has provided an escape route for us so many times
but
not to be taken for granted
for
I have had many friends who went back out
only to never return
some died from excessive booze put into worn out bodies and minds
others are in jails and prison
after
doing things that they would have never done if not drunk or using
I write letters to those sad souls often
they sure do wish that they would have stayed sober
