I really needed this
I have been drinking for 20 years. I have been sober for two weeks. I found this sight while searching for how long it takes for the effects of quitting cold turkey to wear off. I have already found several posts that i can relate to and god willing will make it this time. Thank you

Great job! I am in the same place and I think this site will help me through as well. just reading others experiences help. I always wonder if I should start a new thread or not... But the responses are thoughtful and keeps me focused on sobriety.
Reading about the cold turkey side effects help me know it is ok and will take quite a while to pass. Stay strong and keep posting.

Metal cut just adding my support, it really, truly does get better. I can only speak for myself, but being part of a group (like this one), sharing, reading, getting daily support from our 'family' is a literal lifesaver. Keep coming back!
