My boyfriend has Hep C and is drinking

I am frightened for him and afraid he's going to blow his liver out. Not knowing what to do and worried sick, I contacted some of his family in a sorry attempt to get him to stop. He's a sick man and now he is furious with me for letting the cat out of the bag. The crazy thing is they're upset with me now. I just don't get i, like its my fault? How effed up is that?

The addict is always blaming others for their problems. You had a right to reach out to family members for support, but obviously they chose not to believe the problem or he has them convinced he is fine.

Please post on the Family Support Board on this forum. They can give you a lot of good advice.

I'm sorry Jbird - I know what a lonely place that is.
It's really tough to watch someone you love push the envelope right to the edge.

there's not a lot we can do to change other people, but there are some things we can do to protect ourselves and guard our own welfare.

Have you considered AlAnon?
I also agree that reading and posting on the FF boards as well will help.
