Phantom hangover?

Hi all,

I've had many failed quits over the past few years, but this time it's a slightly different experience.

Today I'm on day four. I woke up this morning feeling hungover. It's weird I feel like I was pretty drunk last night. Are these withdrawal symptoms? or is this all in my head?

Sounds like the tail end of w/d to me. If you don't start feeling better in a few days please see a doctor. Congrats on four days!

Congratulations on your Day 4 Jaybee. I did have the phantom hangovers for about a week. I think it is part of withdrawal, not sure of the details as to why. I would even have the cotton mouth feeling & disorientation. I was so happy when I was fully awake and realized it wasn't a true hangover. It all gets better!

It sure did brighten my mood when I realized I hadn't had anything to drink last night.

I am on day three and I feel really strange too - can't get out of bed, really fuzzy head, lethargy, aching muscles, depression. Not sure what it is. Maybe our bodies are still trying to clean themselves out. Keep going and take care!!

At day 4 this could definitely be withdrawal. I had phantom hangovers AFTER a drinking dream if you can believe that, at 4 months sober.
