Physical pain
So now that I am clean and sober, all my physical pain has come back. For years I have had burning rib pain, back pain and chest pain and a lump bigger than a cricket ball under my arm (not cancerous.)
I'm really not sure what to do about it. I am definitely not asking for medical advice and am gojng to see a doctor on Thursday about it. But I know I cannot take anything with an opiate in it (though it is majorly tempting.). I am wondering what people have found that might help with pain but not give me a high or feeling of relaxation.
Just want to be armed with ideas and info when I see the doc.
Also, my heart is still playing up alot. Racing and palpitations. I think that's still the benzo withdrawal so can live with it.

I have started believing in the past, a-lot of pain is only present when we think about it.

Should speak with your doctor about this also, but try some B complex supplements. From what the bottle says... they can help with energy, and what I read here a-lot of times, suggest we might be vitamin B deficient. Hope you feel better.

Vitamin B I was taking in detox. I find the b complexes too strong but I need to get a good multi vitamin with b in it. Thanks

Thanks. Yeah this isn't related to anxiety I am positive because I have had it for years. I am glad you had success using hypno. I have a friend who is a hypnotherapist but I'm not really sure it's my thjng.
its common for people addicted to prescription drugs to experience sever pain for a while after stopping. in time, the pain can be less than what the meds were used for.
give it time and stay in contact with God.

Thanks guys. It makes sense that the pain would be worse after coming off the meds for sure. There is definitely something physical going on that has been going on for a long time. Using just took it away for awhile.

You have no idea how much I would love to go for a run!! I have always run and weight trained but this benzo detox has knocked me around so much. My resting heart rate has been sky high and when I do too much all the debilitating symptoms come back (. It's SO frustrating!
