Yea I'm Staying Throughout The Day , Then Have A dinner Date & Possibly A Meeting. I Feel Fortunate Or god Meant It To Be , But I Met An Old Schoolmate At My Very First Meeting. I Can Go To A Meeting Every Night With Him As He Lives Nearby. He Has 17 Years Sober And Is Involved In All Aspects Of NA.

Go to the meetings, Riky. If Friday is a trigger day---as it is for most of us---put yourself in a meeting. I did that (and still do many times) a lot the first two months. Initially I thought, "Well, how sad is this? Me sitting in an AA meeting on a perfectly fine Friday night...am I really that jacked up?"

Resounding answer: YES. I AM really that jacked up.

Because if I wasn't there I would be sitting in my house staring at the clock and fantasizing about wine and how I could get some while berating myself for wanting it in the first place. Crazy-making stuff.

Don't listen to them. Sober Saturday mornings not tearing myself apart are always a good feeling. Stick it out. Go to that meeting.
