Hello!

This is my very first day on this forum and I am so happy that I found it!

I have been using Tramadol for about 6 yrs now. I take 8-10 per day. I want to quit!!!!!!!!! I'm so ready! Does anyone know if you can go through recovery via outpatient? I have a friend that did it outpatient and was very successful but she was on another kind of pill. I'm thinking I read that for tramadol, they do not do outpatient. My situation will not allow me to live in a treatment facility.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks so much!

:welcome I'm glad you joined us too. As to going off tramadol, you'd have to talk to your doctor since we can't give medical advice here. It would be unethical, not to mention against the rules.

least...thank you for your reply! would it be unethical to ask if anyone here as ever done outpatient for tramadol?

Welcome aboard and best wishes on your road to sobriety. I am not familiar with addiction to pills and the side effects of withdrawl, so do as LEAST said, talk with your Doctor. You do not want to have awful withdrawl symptons and especially withou knowing the effects. You will be surprised how many times Doctors are asked weekly for help with stopping addiction. Good Luck and Keep Posting!

If your municipality has an alcohol/addiction treatment center or clinic you could give them a call and ask. Outpatient detox from any drug can be potentially dangerous, so a lot of places won't even consider it anymore for liability and health reasons.

Looks like the Arkansas Dept of H&HS has many clinics around the state that offer a wide variety of treatment and recovery resources, maybe give them a call?
