Day 6
 

Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've posted. I ended up going to an alcohol detox on the 22nd and was released two days ago. I haven't been sober this long in a really long time. I'm very grateful that I am, but I'm so terrified that I won't stay this way. The urge to drink is pretty strong.

Today, I'm doing an initial consultation for an IOP, and I'll be hitting a meeting sometime today.

I will be sober, just for today.

Best of luck. Try making SR a daily part of your recovery tool set. Especially when that urge to drink threatens to overpower you.

Good luck! I've come to the board every time I get an urge- just so I can fill the time with support and hopefully decrease the urge a bit more. Talking to someone definitely helps! Just do it one day at a time.
