One year ago....
Many many congratulations on hitting a year...I remember when you first joined....Your post has gave me the encouragement to drive on and hit that year myself...I hope you are proud of such a fantastic achievement....I know I would be....Congrats...Steve..
Thankyou all so very much. I feel very lucky to have the life I have today.
Early recovery isn't easy. I remember the early days of craving and the general confusion of not knowing how my life would change, whether I would lose my friends, how I would ever enjoy life sober. I remember the brain fog, the lethargy, the emotional ups and downs. I remember just how hard those early few months are....
But if you work hard at it, if you're prepared to do whatever it takes, if you're willing to make changes in your lifestyle and embrace a new way of living. Then it really does get better. Not just a little bit, but unbelievably so.
Thankyou SR xxx
