one more try at this.......
I have stopped drinking often, but back to the well after a year, a month, or...
Rational recovery fits with to my view of the world, but I guess I haven't made a real commitment. Time to step up and have another go.....I admire all who struggle with addictions. The way it gets you when you're not looking....such a sneaky devil.

I stopped drinking often, too. Over many years I made half hearted attempts to kick it out of my life. After I joined SR and no longer felt alone with the problem, I was able to find the strength to quit and stay that way. You can do it, too. We're here to help.
