So far so good...

Day 3 of my vacation and I'm going great guns!
I was worried that I might be tempted to drink on this vacation, but I'm happpy to report that I haven't given in to temptation.
I have been drinking virgin Margarita's and I'm more than happy with that.....this is fast becoming my best vacation yet.
It is so good to look at the beautiful scenery without it blurring at the edges.
While everyone else is moaning & groaning, complaining about hangovers every morning, I am getting up early and taking my dog on long walks.
I'm beginning to love the sober life.

That's fantastic Talana. That feeling of productivity is very encouraging and I bet you are getting twice as much out of this vacation than a usual one? I can't wait for my first sober vacation. I used to spend most of it either drinking or recovering. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Bet your dog is happy too

Yes Sazzle I'm definitely getting more out of this vacation than the others.
Previous vacations were spent in a haze and I really don't remember much about them, apart from needing to throw up most of the time. Makes me cringe just thinking about them. Sober vacations are definitely better.

Hey Talana ,
My first spring-time sober was a revelation . everything seemed to have been washed with some kind of colour magic , like someone had turned up the colour setting on my internal T.V. screen of life .

I'm only a year and a bit into sober life and i belive it's a very worthwhile thing to do . I hope you stick with it too .

Happy holiday

Bestwishes, M

Thanks.... Oh I definitely plan to stick with it.
Oprah once said "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"
To me nothing tastes as good as sober feels. LOL!
