I too was saved from a certain suicide attempt.
And I spent years of my life living with major depression...
I used alcohol and drugs to try to save myself, and sent myself into the pits of despair.
I was done.
Like you, I really didn't know what to do anymore.
And then I came here...

I never would have believed it was possible to ever love myself again, but the people I met here have loved me back to life, helped me to find 'me' again.

You don't know where to go from here, but you're reaching out for help and you can be proud of that. I too have been held in psyche- and not in some fancy place! More like jail. The doctors in those places deal with A LOT. It's not exactly a "nurturing" experience. Meds with alcohol led me there too... I'm so sorry for what happened. I can't imagine what you're going through. Even though I don't know you- I'm grateful for your failure to take your life. If ever there is a good time to fail- that's the time. Thank god..really.

Have you considered going to a rehab where they treat dual diagnosis? It may be helpful for you to stay at a good rehab and take advantage of a more nurturing environment, where they can address all of the issues you're dealing with- and get you to a good place and help you build a stronger foundation. I'm glad you found this place and I hope to read more from you. x
