I'm sober yehhh

I can't believe it. My eyes are white and clear. My brain is still foggy but better. I'm finally doing this. It's been over a year of trying with no hope. Then my stomach started to hurt. I woke up scared and lonely. That went on for a week. All I wanted to do was go to the bar by 12 noon when they opened and pour myself in bed at night. So, I prayed real hard and God answered me. Honey he said, get off your ass and quit drinking.
Well maybe not in those words.
I went back to work, got some new deals together and things look better. No my budget isn't fixed yet. It didn't get broke over night so it will take a while to fix I feel like I can do this for the first time. I am studying the steps and reading the text book, you know, the big book. It is a text book. My sponsor told me that 2 years ago, but I didn't get it. I think I get it now.
Good luck to all of you. I will pray that we all make it in this journey.
Diana

Looking more alive along with waking up with the wonderful realization that I hadn't drank myself into a coma the night before and actually wasn't hungover were two of the initial benefits I experienced in the first few weeks! Even better news is that the gifts keep coming as long as you stay sober & work on your recovery, welcome!

Yay Diana! What wonderful news.

I was older, too, when I finally was ready to let go of that sick way of life. This time it's for good. I know you will have a beautiful new beginning. Very proud of you!

I'm also proud of you. Clear eyes and many more physical benefits to come.

You can do this.

Diana,

it all gets better without alcohol. When you spoke about a foggy brain you reminded me how I would forget things towards the end and I thought I had done permanent damage.

I think I work better and am way more efficient on all levels due to less anxiety due to no alcohol.

It is a wonderful journey

Love
