Im sittting outside, about to enter my first AA meeting
 
The meeting starts in about 10 minutes and I'm so scared of going in, but I know I'm going to...I can't keep putting this off. Please wish me luck, it's a beginners meeting, which I think will be great for me.

Good luck!

Beginners meetings are great. They usually have the first part of the meeting dedicated to people with less than a year. It's a good time to both share if you're feeling up to it or even just listen to newcomers who are in the same situation as you.

If you can muster it, definitely raise your hand if they ask if it's anyone's first AA meeting ever. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the warm welcome you receive.

i am exactly like you, except i have not had the courage to call the hotline again or go to a meeting. kudos on your courage, i wish i could muster enough to do the same

Beginner's meetings are great. All meetings are. You will be fine and welcomed :) Pretend we are all there sitting around you.

have some of mine. theres nothin to be afraid of. what you'll find is a group of people who also had to muster up the courage at one time,too.
