I had a VERY bad craving today
 

I was working in my garden and all of a sudden I smelled something in the wind that smelled EXACTLY like beer. Instantly I had the worse craving. I haven't had a craving that bad since my first month of being sober.
Has anyone else experienced a phantom smell like that?

Yes, that has happened to me. Actually the other day I was drinking juice and i could have sworn there was alcohol in it (it was newly opened and I wasn't at a party with alcohol so that was impossible). Maybe our memories sometimes are triggered by who knows what...
I think it's great you are working in your garden, being in nature always calms me :)

Hand sanitizer smells like vodka and gets me every time. And lime makes me crave tequila big time!

Some of my strongest cravings seemed to come out of nowhere and it was maddening.... Just hang in there and know that it WILL go away. Reading a few posts often helped me get grounded again (also, distraction helps a lot).

CoalEater, the smell could have come from your memory, but there is plenty of fermenting stuff going on in a garden that could have produced it. :egypt:
